Juan Carlos is an exploration professional with a multidisciplinary foundation bridging environmental engineering, geostatistics, and spatial data science. He completed his Master’s in Geostatistics at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in 2022 under the guidance of Professor Clayton Deutsch, complementing earlier studies at the University of Chile (Diploma in Geostatistical Evaluation of Mineral Deposits, 2013) and the University of Valparaíso (Bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering, 2009).
Since joining Goldberg Resources in 2010, he has played a key role in transforming geoscientific data into strategic exploration insights. His work integrates geochemical, geological, and geophysical information to support target generation, resource evaluation, drilling strategies, and data governance frameworks.
Beyond technical execution, Juan Carlos helps shape the analytical standards and workflows that underpin Goldberg’s exploration philosophy. He is particularly focused on the use of GIS and geostatistical tools for multivariate interpretation and mineral resource estimation, working across both proprietary and open-source platforms.
